Our team in Stockton rocks! They recently held a "We Care" event with the Gospel Mission Rescue Center in Stockton, CA. They took care of over 30 clients from the center with manicures, makeup, and more. The Gospel Mission Rescue Center is a homeless shelter which assists the homeless by providing counseling, shelter and church services for over 100 people in the community. Great job everyone! Marinello Schools of Beauty raised $91,315 for the Newtown Memorial Fund, which will support victims of the tragic massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Marinello donated 100 percent of service sales received at all 62 campuses from Wednesday, Dec. 26 to Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012.
All Marinello Schools will be offering the Natural Eco-Fin hand treatment as a way to raise funds for the victims of the recent devastation of Hurricane Sandy. 100% proceeds for this $5 treatment will be donated to the American Red Cross to assist those in need from November 5 – 10, 2012.
Students in our Connecticut and Massachusetts campuses are providing free shampoo and blow dry for those still without power or means.
On Monday, March 6, the Bell campus brought their student salon to Lifeline Education Charter School for complimentary after school salon services. As part of Marinello’s High School Reach Out Program, Marinello students are given the opportunities to not only apply what they’ve learned on real guests, but also inspire others by demonstrating what a beauty school and education can provide for their futures.
On Saturday, February 18, students from the Castro Valley and Hayward campuses visited the CARH Inc. (Community Assistance for the Retarded and Handicapped) to pamper those with special needs as part of CARH’s “It’s a Wonderful You Day”. Student’s hearts were warmed with joy watching smiles fill the room as they provided complimentary manicures, hairstyling and makeup applications.
On Wednesday, February 1, the Paramount campus brought their talents to Dominguez High School to provide complementary basic manicures, makeup applications and haircuts for the parents of shining students. It’s about time the parents were rewarded for raising such bright students!
