HAMDEN — Hamden High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association hosted the Class of 2014 “Prom Wear Runway Show” March 21 at Hamden High School. Members of the HHS Senior Class modeled both Prom wear and After-Prom wear. Fashions were provided by local clothing vendors including: David’s Bridal, Men’s Wearhouse, Deb Shops, Windsor, Fashion Box LTD, Bob’s Stores, Simply Couture, GMI, B.Styled Boutique and Jimmy’s Hop Hop. Hair and make up by Marinello School of Beauty. With assistance from HHS Students Against Destructive Decisions, Eric Nyquist, members of Hamden Mainstage Ensemble, and Corrine Thomas-Abraha of CT Fashion Week, the event raised funds for After-Prom, which is an alcohol and drug free event where the graduating Seniors and their dates can enjoy themselves in a safe environment after Prom has ended. HHS PTSA hopes to make this event free to all who attend. Donations are welcome and should be made payable and mailed to: HHS-PTSA After-Prom, Hamden High School, 2040 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06514. Parents, business and residential members of the Hamden community are asked to volunteer, attend After-Prom fundraisers or consider a donation to defray cost of this “Positive” event. The Hamden Youth Advisory Council and their “Positive Choices” Campaign to prevent underage drinking and drug use supports the HHS-PTSA After-Prom event.
